Cookie Policy — The Media Source

These terms apply during the private alpha testing of The Media Source and may be updated as the service develops.

What cookies and similar technologies are

This site is operated by Barcadia Media Limited. The Media Source is a trading name of Barcadia Media Limited (company no. 06970806).

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage. This policy covers all of them.

What we use during the alpha

Strictly necessary — cookies and local-storage entries used by our authentication provider to keep you signed in and to protect the sign-in flow, and a local-storage entry that remembers your cookie-banner choice (ms_cookie_consent_v1). These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
Preferences — local-storage entries that remember interface choices such as dismissing the alpha notice.
Analytics — we record internal analytics events server-side to a private table so we can understand platform usage. We do not currently set any third-party analytics cookies during the alpha.

The Media Source does not currently use advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for renewed consent.

Controlling cookies and storage

You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time via the cookie banner or from the Privacy centre in your dashboard. Clearing cookies or local storage in your browser will sign you out and reset your saved choices.

Third parties

If we introduce third-party cookies (for example email delivery tracking pixels or embedded video), they will be listed in the cookie banner detail view and set only where you have consented.
