About
Connecting the UK's mortgage and property professionals with the media
MediaSource is the free UK platform for mortgage brokers, mortgage lenders, estate agents, conveyancers, valuers, surveyors and property finance professionals to share press releases, expert commentary and industry insight with journalists. It is not a news publisher.
What MediaSource is
MediaSource is a free platform built specifically for the UK mortgage and property professions. It brings together press rooms, spokesperson profiles, journalist media requests and source discovery for mortgage brokers, mortgage lenders, estate agents, conveyancers, valuers, surveyors, property finance specialists, PropTech companies and legal services firms — and the journalists and PR teams who work with them.
What MediaSource is not
MediaSource is not a news organisation. With narrow exceptions clearly labelled MediaSource Editorial, the material available through the platform is submitted by third parties. We do not endorse the accuracy, completeness or fairness of user-submitted content, and we do not verify every factual claim before publication.
What we label
Every item on MediaSource carries a visible label indicating its nature:
- Press Release — submitted by the named organisation.
- Expert Commentary — personal opinion attributed to the named individual.
- Media Request — a request from a working journalist for sources or comment.
- MediaSource Editorial — written or edited by the MediaSource team.
- Sponsored — paid placement; commercial content, not editorial.
- Corrected and Updated — a material change has been made after publication.
Who it's for
- Journalists and editors covering UK mortgages, property and housing.
- PR and communications teams at mortgage lenders, brokerages, estate agencies, conveyancers, surveyors and PropTech firms.
- Named industry experts — mortgage brokers, lenders, estate agents, conveyancers, valuers, surveyors, property finance specialists and legal professionals.
Our approach
MediaSource applies content standards (see our Editorial Standards) and a moderation process, but responsibility for accuracy, evidence and lawfulness of user-submitted content rests with the person or organisation that submitted it. See our Complaints and Takedown Policyfor how to raise a concern.
